ElectroNet Group's Commitment: ElectroNet Group is dedicated to upholding human rights and eliminating all forms of modern slavery. We are committed to conducting business ethically and transparently to avoid contributing to modern
slavery, forced labour, or child exploitation.
Definitions: Modern slavery involves severe exploitation, including human trafficking, forced labour, debt bondage, descent-based slavery, child exploitation, and forced or early marriage.
Legislation: Although New Zealand has not yet legislated against modern slavery, we align ourselves with international standards, including the UK Modern Slavery Act of 2015 and Australia’s Modern Slavery Acts.
Company Policy:
- Reporting Tools: We have implemented anonymous reporting tools such as a ‘Whistleblower’ system and regular employee feedback surveys to address any concerns regarding modern slavery.
- Employee Training: All employees are required to read and understand our policies as part of their induction and ongoing employment.
- Supply Chain: We conduct rigorous checks on our suppliers to ensure they adhere to our ethical standards and do not engage in modern slavery.
Employee Responsibilities: All employees must uphold our principles, which include eliminating forced and child labour, as well as applying ethical and social considerations in procurement and supply chain decisions.
